About Animals at Home (Huntingdonshire) Ltd.
Hi, we’re Ian and Pam and welcome to Animals at Home Huntingdonshire.
We have been caring for each other for over 30 years and for all sorts of animals for longer than that. At the moment we just have one cat, who adopted us a few years ago on Children in Need night so is now known as Pudsey. Thanks to a very skilled and caring vet he is still here after being run over twice! We therefore understand the need for dedicated animal transport to make trips to the Vets as safe and comfortable as possible in a fully air conditioned, DEFRA licensed pet ambulance.
We trained at a large veterinary practice and know how to safely handle animals. We specialize in the safe transportation of animals for all occasions, not just vets visits, but moving house and airport trips.
I (Ian) was always interested in animals and after doing zoology at school I applied for veterinary science at university, but that wasn’t to be and now I just love being able to do this type of work, on a trained, professional basis.
Pam and I have worked as a team running our own businesses for the past 15 years. We were very successful, but wanted a change of life style working for ourselves doing something that we love.
We have owned and cared for many different pets, and we feel that we know what pet owners need, and how we can help them. We are particularly interested in canine behaviour and pet nutrition.
As part of our previous life style we were both Sub-postmasters and so had extensive vetting for security purposes, we have also been C.R.B. checked.
Animals at Home Huntingdonshire covers quite a large area, and all enquiries are welcomed. We are fully insured, including public liability.
